MORE ABOUT PLASMAS
For more information about plasmas and plasma science you may want to read the 1995 National Research Council Report "Plasma Science: From Fundamental Research to Technological Applications." That report provides guidance regarding the many ways in which plasma science can contribute to society and recommends actions that will optimize these contributions. The report also expresses concern regarding the health of plasma science in the United States and challenges the plasma science community to work for increased "plasma literacy." To learn more about the current state of plasma science in the United States, read our article "THE STATE OF PLASMA SCIENCE". If, however, you are interested in learning more about plasmas, you may want to read the article "PLASMA -- THE FIRST STATE OF MATTER" by Dr. G.L. Rogoff.
CPS is developing a series of accessible two-page write-ups about various plasma phenomena and applications. Completed pages can be accessed below in PDF format.
