INTRODUCTION

There is a great deal of information on the web about plasmas -- so much information and at so many different levels that it is difficult for a teacher who needs clear, concise information to sort through it all. This website, designed by teachers for teachers, represents a "best of the web."

Teachers wishing to incorporate more of the National Science Education Standards and the benchmarks for science literacy will find plasma science links applicable to many topics. By clicking on the to the left of each website, you can see how the site fulfills a requirement of the National Standards for both Grades 5-8 and Grades 9-12. Helpful comments are included from the teachers who evaluated these sites: Larry Blanchard, Ernesto A. Abad, and Caryn Hoffman. A site without such a button has not yet been evaluated, but may fulfill national science standards.
